More Hot Bodies…

Comes with matching lipstick…

Here are some more naturally tarnishing silver-leafed custom bodies that are waiting for a few shots of clear poly before wiring and assemblage. I really wish that our days were twice as long so I’d have more time to do this kind of work as I really do enjoy the process.

Currently, I have a non-Hell cheap Les Paul copy that I bought for accessory photo shoots that I’m also working on. I like the idea of taking a cheap¬†electric (about $100 retail) and transforming it into a playable art piece. Actually for $100 it is a surprisingly playable guitar. The hardware is all bottom shelf but the construction isn’t bad at all. I may change some of the hardware but I think I’m inclined to keep the guts of it as it is. As an experiment, I would like to see how much a buyer would value the aesthetics over the manufacturing quality. Hopefully I can get to finishing it in a couple of months. I’ll try to post a few “in progress” posts for those who care about such things…

Perhaps with a maple fretboard…?

And here’s a No. 2 in progress. Still a bit rough.
