Here are some more naturally tarnishing silver-leafed custom bodies that are waiting for a few shots of clear poly before wiring and assemblage. I really wish that our days were twice as long so I’d have more time to do this kind of work as I really do enjoy the process.
Currently, I have a non-Hell cheap Les Paul copy that I bought for accessory photo shoots that I’m also working on. I like the idea of taking a cheap electric (about $100 retail) and transforming it into a playable art piece. Actually for $100 it is a surprisingly playable guitar. The hardware is all bottom shelf but the construction isn’t bad at all. I may change some of the hardware but I think I’m inclined to keep the guts of it as it is. As an experiment, I would like to see how much a buyer would value the aesthetics over the manufacturing quality. Hopefully I can get to finishing it in a couple of months. I’ll try to post a few “in progress” posts for those who care about such things…
nice, but I still like that first one best…
New masterpieces! The first one(which you show to us in previous post) is the best, but these are best of their kind, but in another style =) I think not only me but all of us want more of this designs!
