Hello again…
Time to peek up out of my hole to see what the world is up to. Or more accurately, to let the world (or a very tiny fraction of it) know what I’m up to.
To be specific, I’ve been busy designing more truss rod covers and switch washers as well as pickguards, neck plates, control plates, guitar picks and, yes…guitar strings! Well. I’ve designed all of the above except for the strings. Those come from a company (to remain nameless) that I recently discovered. I am, however, designing the packaging. My first attempt you’ll find at the top of this post. Although it is my first stab at it, it may also be the final design. This is because i need to send in the artwork very soon if I want to have the strings ready to show at the upcoming NAMM show in January. Fortunately I kind of like the direction. Please feel free to tell me what you think of it.
The strings themselves are surprisingly good. After testing for a while, I find they produce a clear, bright (but not harsh) tone. They stay in tune after a good stretch and seem to be durable as well. My goal was to find a company that produces good quality strings at a bargain price and I think I’ve done just that. I am hoping to offer the strings for under $3.00 a set online. Quality strings that are cheap enough to be changed often.
Hellwires. Remember, you heard it here first!

nice… and $3 a set.. even better…
old nod
Hellwires! Liking the name–loving the price.
I’ll probably buy 5-10 at a time (but that’s the idea, isn’t it?).
Can’t wait to see the new picks, pickguards, control plates, knobs, decals, pup-caps, hard cases, cables, capos, strap locks, neck plates…
You’re accessories will undoubtedly make some waves on this planet.
First of all – Hellwires is a one of the sickest names! If i didn’t know about it, and somebody asked me -man, do you hear about srings named Hellwires? – I will not simply start to search about them, I’ll run to the local store as fast as possible to buy and try them. Look like I will buy full bag of cool things from you soon ))))) I can’t stand aside from your alibaba’s cave) Right now I use a Kerly strings, but if there will be a cool strings for 3$ I think I will forget about Kerly. What about play feelings? Are they hard or soft what about bending on them?
Btw. Any chance to see you at Musikmesse NAMM Russia?
Hi Nick. Thanks!
I’ll try and post the final layouts soon. I just sent the artwork to the printers.
I really do like these strings. They professionally made from good quality materials and have a nice, bright, pleasant tone. They are not Elixirs which to me is a good thing. These are quality strings, priced to sell so you can afford to change them regularly which, to me, are the best strings to play on. Fresh is always best.
Regarding NAMM Russia, I am considering it. If so, I’ll give you plenty of warning so hopefully we can hook up!
Hi Michael! I Hope you will able to present hell guitars at the NAMM Russia! Keep me in touch!
