Alright then, here are are few more photos of two other humbucker
designs. I will have to take better pictures for the website though. These are very difficult to shoot. I want to give an idea of how they change with the light which is tough to pull of in a single frame. Maybe I’ll need to include video of someone holding/playing the guitar to give the full effect. Anyway, here’s another sneak peak at what’s coming soon.
By the way the Bender is my personal guitar. A pre-production model. Note the SG style jack on the top. I always thought jacks on the top looked cooler and maybe a bit meaner when plugged in (I also wound up thinking that they are in the way and not as practical so they were moved to the side…).
The Goldie below is a prototype No. 6 model.
Nice! NICE! When do I can buy this sweet pup-caps?
Btw, Cool Bender, I always like jacks on the top too ))) Also I look at the no. 6 again, and thinking about if it will be a bigsby tremolo version one day. I think it will be great option! And what is your thoughts and opinion about it, do you planning something like this?
Hopefully before the end of the month, Nick.
Regarding the No. 6, I think having a Bigsby equipped version is a great idea. I’ll try a prototype on the next round of builds.
If it works out, maybe we can call it the Nick signature model…:).
Thanks!
Let me know when pups will be available, I buy some surely. Also I wait for no. 6 with bigsby to buy it too. Dreaming about signature model from you. Maybe not Nick but Grrr’s(that’s my nickname) signature.
I’m drooling over the proto semi hollow! My Zero Dot is still in customs waiting to clear….hopefully soon.
From which country are you?
I think i don’t understand something 0_o =))))Realy)
Umm… My mistake Nick. Your reply was to Zach. It was I who didn’t understand. Comment deleted…
Nick- I’m in the US.
Zach – And I am from Russia. Wish you get your instrument as fast as possible). I won an epic battle with EMS for my guitar))))
Thanks Nick! No epic battle for me so far. It’s only been a couple of days. I’m just really excited and every day I wait seems like a week! 🙂 Michael shipped quickly and honestly, it got to the US quickly. I’m sure I’ll have it this week.
I must say that so far the Russian customs and postal service is a mystery to me. Although the stated delivery time for an EMS parcel to Russia is 5 days, we’ve had one take as long as a month and I know Nick’s took a while too. Most other destinations have been ranging from 2-7 days (that’s 2 days to the Eastern US!). Shipments to the US, Canada and Australia seem to get through customs the fastest. Russia can easily take 5 days just to clear customs.
I know only one country with completly mad customs )))))may be somewhere there is madder then mine )
oh)))))
Can we buy Pup-Caps pre-installed with the purchase of a new guitar?
I may be ordering a white Bender in 3-4 weeks. I think it would look stellar with Metalwork caps.
If you buy a Bender, Dave, I’ll throw the PupCaps in with the deal and a switch washer as well if you like. There was a slight problem with the humbucker PupCaps in that they are just a fraction too wide. They actually fit perfectly but depending on your playing style you could possible find yourself catching the edge of the Cap with your hand in the strokes. I will be creating a slightly narrower version in a few months. You are welcome though to try these out if you like. (Old Nod, if you’re reading this, did you experience a problem with yours?)
The more I think about it, the more I want a Pup-cap for the control plate on my No. 2. Or, along the lines of your truss rod covers, having a stamped/engraved replacement plate from Guitarsh!t.
The aftermarket potential for tele-style controls is HUGE. Plus, it would be more visible and fashionable than a truss rod cover.
Anyways, I saw an engraved control plate on eBay and immediately thought you’d produce a better version.
Just thinking out loud…
sorry… I was temporarialy out-of-body and just noticed you were speaking to me…. nope, no problems… just good looks and playability…. the pup-caps look great too…!
